I'm a Naarm (Melbourne) based activist trainer, organiser and documentary filmmaker who has been floating around Australia's diverse and powerful peace, anti-militarist, forest, climate and social and racial justice movements for almost four decades now.

I write about radical movement politics, strategy, dynamics and tactics. Reflections borne from movement experiences or things that have informed my training for activist groups. I draw much from movement history, the struggles of our forebears, learning from radical failure, and lessons from the messy dynamics that inevitably accompany popular struggles.

I write about and promote things that are effective, impactful, strategic, tried and tested and can help other activists and organisers build resilience to repression, and navigate radical and revolutionary social change work.

I spent many years as part of Peace Brigades International, working mainly with the Indonesia Project as a trainer.

I was part of the team who founded the long lasting and critically important Melbourne Activist Legal Support (MALS) back in 2011 and has been involved with many other movement infrastructure projects before and since.
